The Los Angeles Regional Meals Financial institution Receives $250,000 Donation From The Los Angeles Chargers

During this unprecedented time, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is committed to serving those in need of food aid. The latest federal, state and local actions are needed to combat the spread of the coronavirus and will also add a significant burden to local families and individuals. The Food Bank hires temporary workers, uses the Mobile Food Pantries and ensures that strict health protocols are followed to ensure safe service for vulnerable populations.

“At times like this, it is our responsibility as a community to unite and help where it is most needed,” said Chargers, president of Business Operations AG Spanos. “We are honored to help the Food Bank bring security and relief to those affected by the coronavirus crisis at an increasingly uncertain time.”

The chargers distribute food annually in their facility and make a financial contribution to the work of the food bank. Team members and staff also volunteer regularly to help collect food and pack boxes.

“The Los Angeles Chargers have been an incredible supporter of the Food Bank over the years, and this is yet another example of their tremendous dedication to their community,” said President and CEO. Michael Flood. “We are humble about this amazing gift that will go a long way in helping those who are hurt right now.”

With this gift, the Food Bank can help children and their families when children are absent from school, as well as seniors who are self-isolating and hour workers who experience disruptions to their schedules and paychecks.
