Smorgasburg LA’s Grand 2023 Reopening Occurs This Weekend

Smorgasburg is the largest outdoor food market in the country with locations in top cities like New York, Jersey City, Sao Paulo, Miami and Toronto. And it’s back in Los Angeles on January 8 for another year full of delicious food and fun activities. This wildly popular outdoor food market hosts vendors from all around Los Angeles to showcase their culinary creations. Any self-respecting foodie knows that this is an unmissable feast for the senses.

This popular LA market takes place every Sunday at Row DTLA and has become a go-to destination for epicureans throughout the city. It features over 100 vendors serving up an incredible selection of both international and local flavors, allowing visitors to sample cuisine from all around the world in one sprawling location. The choice can be overwhelming, so it’s best to come hungry. Or bring along some fellow food fanatics, so ye can pinch a few bites.

This year brings a number of new additions like Champignon Eats bringing you mushroom heaven and All About the Cinnamon delivering sweet buns of bliss. Don’t worry, many of the fan favorites will be there too, like The Golden Skewer and Queen Squeeze Lemonade.

In addition to the delicious fare, you can expect to find a vibrant array of music, DJs, art installations and other artisanal products on offer, creating an immersive experience for all (sadly, that does not include pets). The event is known for its diverse lineup of vendors with a cult-like following, and many return year after year.

You could easily spend a day here starting with the colorful fruity bowls from Amazbowls or layers of breakfast goodness from Cheezus. On hot days you can cool off with the rainbow-colored treat from Happy Ice as you wander through the market and peruse vintage goods, records and other craft goods. When you start to feel peckish again, you may fancy some fresh oysters followed by a boozy beverage in the beer garden.

With a dizzying scene of loaded sandwiches and tacos, eye-popping micheladas and curated pieces you’ll no doubt need to return every weekend until you’ve tried it all.
