The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could go to America sooner than expected. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle already have a pretty busy travel calendar for the next few months as they prepare to take their official royal tour of South Africa this fall, which will be their first family of three. The Sussexers are also planning to travel to Scotland to see Queen Elizabeth at Balmoral in August, where they will celebrate Meghan’s birthday – it will be Archie’s first time at the Queen’s favorite castle.

But it looks like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might be able to visit California after their royal tour of Africa. Prince Harry and Meghan are planning a trip to Los Angeles before the year ends, Us Weekly reports, for a mix of work and play. The outlet claims the Sussexes will spend most of their official time there performing royal duties, but will also have family time to visit Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who lives in LA

There have been rumors that the Sussexes have been on a royal tour of Canada and the United States in North America for some time, although plans were reportedly put on hold after Meghan’s pregnancy was announced. With their official South Africa tour approaching, it appeared they were sticking to their plan to postpone their visit to North America until next year.
It’s unlikely that Prince Harry and Meghan would take not one but two intense tours in such a short time, especially with Archie who is so young, but you never know. Perhaps this is more of a quick visit than a full royal tour – we hope they take Archie on the California trip, especially so he can hug his mother’s avocado-loving homeland.

Perhaps they use this time to look for a home, as the two have reportedly been born since Archie bought a second home in Los Angeles. Don’t worry about the Sussexes leaving the UK, however – it would be more of a getaway and they will still be spending most of their time at the very luxuriously renovated Frogmore Cottage.
