Los Angeles County Reviews 13,315 New Instances Of COVID-19 – CBS Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Los Angeles County reports 13,315 new cases of COVID-19 and 58 more deaths on Sunday, according to public health officials.
The total number of cumulative counties so far is 623,670 cases and 8,875 deaths among the 4,370,000 people tested for coronavirus in LA County.
There are currently 5,549 people hospitalized in LA County with COVID-19, of whom 21% are in intensive care.
Los Angeles County, along with 10 other counties in the Southern California area, continues to be subject to a health ordinance banning personal eating and other non-essential activities to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
The rollout of vaccines, targeting the most vulnerable populations first, including the key workforce, is imminent as the Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus vaccines have been approved for emergency use.
