HONG KONG–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) with Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Hong Kong SAR government as the main sponsor and fully supported by the Chinachem Group, the Los Angeles Architecture Exhibition “Island__Peninsula”. will take place in Los Angeles from September 19th to October 2nd this year.
The 14-day public exhibition aims to bring the unique Hong Kong architecture to Los Angeles. The exhibition seeks to compare the contrasting urban structures of Hong Kong and Los Angeles and to analyze the four core values of unique Hong Kong-style architecture, namely “glamor, efficiency, order and constant change”. Let the 14 types of architecture in Hong Kong- Style emerge. A total of 16 exhibits cover all types of development foundations of “Hong Kong style” architecture, which are brought into resonance through communal facilities, houses, street scenes and traditional architectural crafts etc. in the form of “islands” and “peninsulas” ”. These exhibits are infiltrated not only with architectural elements, but also with literature and new media art that make the exhibition extraordinary!
The architecture exhibition “Island__Peninsula” is combined with the simultaneous mega-action “Think Asia Think Hong Kong”, which is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Tourism Board. At the same time, the exhibition expresses the message “Inheriting culture and building the future”. The organizer, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, would like to search the Asian market for opportunities and introduce Hong Kong’s creative industries and services.
