Downtown LA Lastly Breaks 200-Day Streak Of 70-Diploma Days – CBS Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A shower finally hit Southern California, breaking Downtown LA’s record for the longest stretch of days of warm weather.
A cold system from Canada brought rain, snow, strong winds and cold temperatures to the region on Saturday.
The high on Saturday was just 62 degrees, the first in 200 days that the high in downtown LA did not reach 70 degrees or more, according to the National Weather Service. The 200-day series breaks the old record of 1885 by 10 days.
With a high temperature of only 62 degrees today, the period of days with a high temperature of 70 or higher in downtown Los Angeles officially ends with 200 days. This breaks the old record of 1885 by 10 days! Pretty unbelievable! Time to enjoy the 60s again! #CAwx pic.twitter.com/7CrabWja63
