LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – September 17-23 is National Child Passenger Safety Week and Saturday is National Seat Check Day.

Research suggests that four out of five car seats are improperly installed. According to the US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA.gov), car accidents are the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 13.
